Alan Wiltshire - Managing Director and Proprietor (alan@hornsaplenty.com) +44 (0) 1452 536 264
Formerly Music Director, A&R Director and Senior and Executive Producer at Nimbus Records, Alan Wiltshire has worked as a producer with many of the great orchestras of the world, winning Gramophone, Grande Prix de Disque, Koussevitsky and Stern des Monats awards, amongst others.
He has produced over 300 orchestral CDs, working with the London Symphony, Philharmonia and Hungarian State Symphony Orchestras and the London Sinfonietta, to name but a few. These include the great Stravinsky ballet suites (Rite of Spring, Petrouchka, Firebird) with Gennadi Rozhdestvensky, Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra and Miraculous Mandarin with Adam Fischer, a Haydn symphony cycle recorded in the Esterhazy Palace, Eisenstadt, where these works were first performed under the composer's direction - again with Adam Fischer - and Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony coupled with Kodaly's Hary Janos with Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.
Alan also produced virtually all the Wallace Collection CDs - featuring the great trumpeter, John Wallace - on which some of the most spectacular brass playing ever recorded can be heard, much of it with Evelyn Glennie guesting on percussion. Have a listen to their Pictures at an Exhibition CD (Collins Classics) on which you will also hear Alan's stunning arrangement for brass and percussion of Mussorgsky's original Night on the Bare Mountain.

Alan studied music at York University, winning the Performing Rights Society’s prestigious John Lennon Memorial Award, with which he studied for an MMus Tonmeister in twentieth century composition, analysis and sound recording at the University of Surrey. He also holds a Diploma in Composition from Trinity College, London, and is a freelance horn player.
Alan is married with 2 children and 1 grandchild, and lives in Gloucestershire, UK. Here's a picture of his dog, Jethro, and two kittens Attila the Hun and Batman.
