These are very fine, handmade instruments  - nothing like the (still very fine) production-line Yamahas.  This is Yamaha's top professional range, used by many great players, worldwide.

This is a yellow brass, screw bell, lacquered horn (they're usually unlacquered) with a deluxe case.  There are a few tiny blemishes - nothing to write home about - and it plays superbly.  In fact, it plays very much like an Engelbert Schmid, late Paxman 23E or Hans Hoyer G10 - all Geyer derivatives.  General condition is excellent, and price is low for a horn of this quality.  A comparable used, late Paxman would be over £1000 GBP more than this little beauty...
