Newly arrived (and newly reconditioned) is this H179, Holton's classic Kruspe copy, akin to Conn's 8D. This is an unlacquered horn with a fixed bell, and it's in excellent condition, with a lovely matt patina to the raw nickel-silver finish. The valves are quick and airtight, the slides are all free-moving (and also airtight) and it plays beautifully - just like an 8D, but with a better high register.
